Hi, I’m Hannah Roher MSN, RN, IBCLC.

I started The Nook Lactation to support parents navigating the often overwhelming journey of feeding their babies.

Even as a labor and delivery nurse and IBCLC, I struggled after the birth of my first son. I lacked the support I needed to feel confident and grounded, and I stopped breastfeeding earlier than I had hoped. With time, perspective, and the right support, I went on to breastfeed my second son — and found healing along the way.

Since then, I’ve helped countless parents through challenges both expected and complex, offering a compassionate, trustworthy space to ask questions and find clarity.

You deserve expert support that meets you where you are. Let’s find the path that’s right for you and your family.

Why “The Nook”?

The Nook (ðə nʊk) noun. 1. The embrace of a cozy chair. 2. The steadfast encouragement of a close friend. 3. The wisdom of an old tree.

A nook evokes a good, secure feeling — exactly what I want you and your family to feel. My aim is to help you feel grounded within yourself and in your feeding situation: to feel the relief of being seen, supported with care, and knowing you’re not in this alone.
